How Can Estriol Help Women Lose Weight? -Roger MasonMen, you can't be included in this column today because modern science in all its infinite wisdom doesn't have a clue as to the effects of estriol on men. Men are rarely deficient in estriol anyway. You do have a wife, mother, sister, daughter or other loved one who needs to read this. Not that men don't have estriol- 80 to 90% of human estrogens are, in fact, estriol. There are three main estrogens in humans- estradiol (the strongest and most dangerous), estrone (strong and dangerous) and estriol (the good, safe, or beneficial estrogen). If you want absolute proof of how incompetent medical doctors are, just keep reading. Your doctor does not know, nor care what the heck estriol is. He has never once ever measured the estriol level of any of his female patients during his career, much less wrote a prescription for it. He never heard a word about it in medical school. This in- cludes gynecologists and even endocrinologists believe it or not. Again, 80 to 90% of human estrogen is comprised of estriol, yet it is not part of modern medicine. Never use oral estriol salts. And how will you know you are low? If you have a medical plan insist the doctor test your level of FREE bioavailable, not bound unavailable, blood level estriol. Or get a saliva test kit and you can find out for only about $30 and you will always get the free level, if you are low, or near the bottom of the scale, raise it with the transdermal cream or sublingual drops. There are some strong human clinical studies on the value of raising low estriol levels showing really dramatic benefits. There is little research done every year as there is just no profit motive here. Tons of research are done on estradiol and estrone however. What about weight loss? You will never read these things anywhere in the world except in this column folks. At Fujita Health University in Japan (Nippon Naibunpi Gakkai Zasshi v. 72 in 1996) doctors tested obese women, who were both menstruating and who were anovulatory (not ovulating and producing progesterone). They found all of them were low in estriol. All of them were low in blood estriol levels; not just some of them. This is an astounding finding. 100% of obese women were estriol deficient. Anovulatory women were also heavier, which is just one more reason to use natural progesterone cream as well. When you don't produce eggs that means you are not producing progesterone two weeks out of the month. Another reason to use natural progesterone cream. Obesity was clearly and strongly related to low estriol.
