Aspirin for Cancer and Heart Health - Roger Mason

Many of you readers have heard that daily low dose aspirin prevents stroke, improves your heart and artery health, and is good for post heart attack patients. Some “health advocates”, like the Life Extinction Foundation go even further and claim aspirin helps prevent various cancers such as prostate, esophageal, stomach, colorectal, and pancreatic. These same morons tell you, “cholesterol doesn't matter”, and even go so far as to tell you low cholesterol is dangerous! (By the way, their Life Extinction Mix is lacking in such basic minerals as germanium, cesium, strontium, iron, cobalt, vanadium, rubidium, silicon, tin and nickel. They still claim this is the, “most complete formula in their world”!) Others claim toxic ibuprofen is also heart healthy! The allopathic and very overpriced Mayo Clinic says that men over 60 who poison themselves with low dose aspirin and ibuprofen every day reduce their risk of prostate cancer by a full two thirds. Wouldn't you think that should be on the six o'clock news? They further claim that postmenopausal women who gulp down aspirin got less pancreatic cancer. While aspirin does have antiplatelet activity to prevent blood clotting, very few people need anti-clotting medication. Taking natural supplements like vitamin E will achieve the same goal while providing countless other health benefits. The real shame is that millions of people listen to insanity like this and follow such irrational advice. You see ads on TV telling you to take aspiring for heart health. Millions of men and women in America take aspirin every day as a “health supplement”. This is undeniable proof of how stupid the great unwashed masses really are. P.T. Barnum would be proud of the aspirin propaganda.

If you want to prevent coronary heart disease and cancer just make better food choices. Eat a low fat, high fiber diet with whole grains, beans, and fresh green and yellow vegetables. Take proven heart healthy and cancer preventive supplements like flax oil, beta-sitosterol, vitamins D and E, beta carotene, L-carnosine, CoQ10, and All Your Minerals. Balance your basic hormones especially testosterone (yes, women, too). Falling hormone levels are a major cause of coronary heart problems, as well as many cancers. Also balance your DHEA, pregnenolone, melatonin, T3, and T4. Make sure your fasting blood sugar is 85 or less (not 100 or less as your doctor will tell you.) Get regular exercise even if it is “just” a half hour walk every day. Limit bad habits like desserts, alcohol, tobacco, and coffee.

The single biggest predictor of cardiovascular health is your total cholesterol. Please read my Lower Cholesterol Without Drugs. The average adult American has a TC level of about 240. Your doctor will tell you that 200 is the goal, but the real goal is about 150 mg/dl. A 150 level is practical and realistic. You do not have to be a vegetarian or a saint to do this, but you can't eat bacon cheeseburgers for lunch either. Your total cholesterol and triglyceride levels are your most important indicators. C-reactive protein and homocysteine are the other two factors. Take the clinically proven heart healthy supplements mentioned above. Do not waste your money on promotional junk like resveratrol, policosanol, red rice yeast, or niacin overdoses.

Doesn't common sense tell you that a low fat, high fiber diet of natural foods like whole grains, beans, vegetables, seafood, and fruits is going to protect you from cancer and heart disease? Diet is everything. Americans eat a whopping 42% fat calories and most all of these are saturated artery clogging fats. Rural Asians generally have cholesterol levels of about 150 mg/dl, and heart and artery disease is not common. Their CHD rates are a fraction of ours. American TC levels run about 240 and we have the highest CHD rates in the world. Rural Asians eat about 15% fat calories in their diet, and most of these come from vegetables and seafood. Their cancer, diabetes, and other disease rates are a fraction of ours, especially the most epidemic cancers like breast, uterine, ovarian, colon, and prostate.

Make better food choices, take proven supplements, balance your basic hormones, get regular exercise, fast weekly, don't take Rx drugs, limit or stop bad habits like coffee, alcohol, cigarettes and desserts. This is what natural health is all about.
